Buzzing noise after shut down?

Does anybody have a buzzing noise after turning off the truck? It sounds almost like a pump running for a few seconds. I have just noticed it, may have been doing it along.

I also get it every once in awhile, not all the time. Never paid much attention to it.

I don't know if it's right but i make this complaint at my dealer and he say this happen problaly only if after a run,i don't let idling the engine for a minute and this is the air charged in the aftercooler which push in the turbo and turning the wheel in the turbo without oil pressure. he say at me too if it's my method to stop the engine at long term this method can cost me a turbo...

This sound is NOT the turbo, it sounds more like the buzz of some sort of pump.

Ivin4jc,

Thats interesting and exactly where I will be curious to see if the others seem to think theirs is too. Reason I say this is in this area and actually right inside the cab behind the drivers console there is something in this area that I have had a buzz noise from before myself. Now mine has been while crankin on mine as to start. So I know there is something there like a logic board or something and I figure the buzzing noise to be a relay or something along this line possibly.

I've heard the same buzzing sound - very random, sometimes it happens when I open the door, other times when I turn it off etc.

i have the 6.7 just to say and i have the buzz noise every time i shut mine off never while running it buzzzs then clicks and buzzzs then done ha. i thought it had to do something with the throttle cable on top the motor by the valve cover cause it is an electronic throttle system. I shut it down once and my buddy saw that pulley pulling the cable and retracting it or some crap i dont know but thats what seems to make the noise on mine
