What causes code P000F?

I have a 2008 2500 HD 6.7 that every couple of Days will throw a P000F Fuel System Over Pressure Relief Valve activated code, most of the time when the truck is cold. Truck has 38,xxx miles on it. It's had a Hyper Tech on it for the last 2 yrs & I purchased the Truck New.
Thanks in Advance

That code is thrown when the fuel pressure relief valve is popped. When rail pressure exceeds what the relief valve is set for, the valve opens to relieve excess pressure from the rail. Sometimes the relief valve spring gets weak and will open sooner and the more it opens, the weaker it will get. You can either get a shim kit for it or get a rail plug. I just shimmed mine this weekend and solved that issue.
Check out Rollin Smoke Diesel for either of these. James will hook you up

Thanks for the Help, I appreciate it. If I can ever return the favor just ask. I have operated my own trans & drivetrain shop for the last 25 yrs.

^^^ No problem, thats what we're all here for. If you lived closer to me, I'd have a few jobs (drivetrain and trans related) you could help me out with.
