I Blew My Motor , Help And Advice Please

Well guys i blew my motor on my 2008 dodge 2500 6.7 i owe 15k on it , should i let the insurance pay me what its worth or should i buy it back ? how much does a new motor cost , it cant be rebuilt becasuse it has a hole in the side of it . How much am i looking for a new motor $$$$$ price wise , and should i buy it back ?

Uhh, you can claim a blown motor insurance? I've never heard of that before.

How'd you blow the motor? How many miles were on it? What mods did you do to it? Just buy another motor and slap it in there.

yes my insurance totaled it , well lets just say i hit a deep mud hole and got mud in the turbo and KABOOM its stock 6 inch lift on 35's how much is a new motor , and where can i buy one , maybe a used one will work

I believe if you have full coverage insurance and you pay the deductable, there is a way with some insurance companies that they will pay a shop to install another engine. My brother in law did it in his rubicon

Oh, didn't realize you hydrolocked it. There wasn't much detail in your first post.

I'd let insurance total it and go buy myself another one. Water gets everywhere in your wiring harness causing corrosion. Later on down the road that will leave you chasing electrical gremlins forever.

theres a complete 6.7 motor on craigslist under phx, az.... 4500 bucks and it has like 20k miles on it.

ohh and there a 6spd auto tranny on there to

How much $$$ is the buyback? Buy back the truck, put in that Phoenix craigslist motor, immediately sell truck and buy yourself another one.

I wouldn't keep a flooded truck.

tranny is good , but i am not looking to drive cross country for a motor , and idk about freight shipping then having it installed in the truck ? is it worth it ? to go through all the trouble
