Any bone stock 6.7's with 300,000 trouble free miles?
Just wondering if there are any 6.7's with 300,000 trouble free miles on them?

The highest mile truck i have seen in person had 146k but it had the normal 6.7l parts changed under warranty

I’m asking because I am looking to keep my 5.9 but would like to buy a new 6.7 mega cab in 2011. I was curious how many people have had good luck with their 6.7 versus those who have been in the shop numerous times. It’s sad to think that modern day technology has only decreased the longevity of our engines. A 5.9 Cummins can go 300,000 miles without any major problems and very little downtime for most repairs. But it sounds like the 6.7 is much more troublesome and lacks overall dependability. I realize that 300,000 miles on a 2007 6.7 is way high, but I was more less trying to see if anyone has had trouble free miles.

Have an 07, 2500, 6.7 with 6sp auto, quad cab SLT, hd, 4x4, limited slip, snow plow ready, 3.73 gear. Only 19k but have towed to NV from CT and back 9k lbs. No problems of any major parts, sound system stinks(stock)repaced still stinks, O2 sensor replaced, engine light came on and dealer fix, so far ok. Perform oil/filer tire rotation every 7.5k approx, use synthetic oil after breakin. Did cold air myself, mud flaps, step rail, bug deflector, brake proportioner. Line-x and ARE hard toneau at truck store. Has jake brake(big help on mountain roads). So far luv truck. Bought for Cummin's rep.

sorry, just a first reaction. I don't think you will ever hear of any emission controlled trucks being trouble free for that long. the best bet would be a hot shot type who always has a load on as this helps in keeping the dpf and nox filters clean.
I have 1200 miles on my 2009 Mega and have a lot of trouble. Do you really think there will ever be one with 300k miles in stock condition????
between recalls,reflashes and emission componets

We had a guy deliver a steel mezzanine the other day with a 08 quad cab long bed 3500 pulling about a 35’ gooseneck. He told me he had 180,000 miles with no problems and all stock.
Funny thing was he got there about a half hour before we open and sat in the parking lot idling all that time and didn’t think twice about it.
Got an 08 Mega with 23k. Bought it at 20k, don't know what problems it had before except it was to wide for the Houston turnpike because there are lots of white scuffs on the mirrors, but we have had no problems. Got a CEL once and DPF 80% because my wife idled at the race track for like 6 hours watching a DVD but I ragged the hell out of it on the way home and after three key cycles she was OK. Its bone stock too. Yesterday she filled her up with low sulfur diesel so in a few days I may post a different story but I'll let you know, everyone on here says it will be ok.
