Did you change any of the custom options such as shift schedules, firmness, throttle response, etc.? All of those parameters play a role in how the tranny will react. These options should allow you to get the same tuning as the old OD software, but it depends on how you set everything up.

If you can post all of the settings you used we can give you an idea of where to go with everything. We would also be happy look at the files to see if there is anything additional that we can do to address your issues.

Where do you have your shift points set to? Change them higher if you feel TC unlock is happening too soon. Nothing changed on this current tuning version vs the previous. Only the option for a customer to modify a couple parameters. With default settings, TCM tuning is identical to the previous version.

^^^^ crap, he beat me to it!

well this is the first version of od tune ive had. ive had shift points set at 3,4,&5 for 5&6 gear. ive had firmness at 3,4,5 . the lock unlock in 6 gear is what bothers me it keeps the rpms constantly boucing 3-400 rpm when you roll into the throttle in 6 gear. thanks

The converter should not lock/unlock under constant throttle. Once a lock threshold is crossed, and throttle is maintained, it should NOT unlock again. If you input more throttle, then you may cross an unlock threshold, but at steady throttle it will stay locked.

Are you sure you are not slipping the converter? If the TCM senses converter slip via conflicting engine RPM vs transmission output shaft speeds, it will unlock the torque converter to save clutch damage.

How many miles are on your transmission? Does it not do this lock/unlock when in stock TCM tuning?

Thanks for the info!

not sure, but i wouldnt think so the tourque converter only does what the computer tells it to do, single disk or multiple. plus the the unlock threshold seems fine with the stock programming. surely im not the only one running a triple disk converter with od. im not being a smarta...... just the way i was thinking about it and was curious if anyone else had experienced the same thing.

I played and played with the settings and have landed at
highest throttle response,
everything else, default settings.

I guess I like ................ what H and S likes.
