New to Forum. Need Help with DPF delete.

I have been lurking in the shadows doing alot of research about the DPF EGR/Cooler deletes. My wife bought me a Smarty jr HS EGR/Cooler delete kit and a flow pro DPF delete kit. My question is what do I do with all of the sensors and stainless stell lines that were attached to the DPF? There is nothing in the instructions about this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The truck is an 08 6.7 3500 dually 4 door longbed. Thanks

You can leave your sensors in the old pipe and simply disconnect them.

The air lines are removed with the DPF and you can leave the rubber hoses hanging or take them off as well.

I called James the other day about these. I unplugged all sensors and lef everything in the dpf. Take a extra long pair of needle nose pliers and disconnect the air lines from up alongside the transmission as if you just disconnect the black rubber tubes from the stainless part they hang low enough to touch the down pipe. If you need pics I'll snap some for you

On a side note I did remove the black air hoses from the stainless part and left them hanging as I pulled the entire dpf out. Then was able to reach my fat hand up alongside the trans and downpipe to reach the two clamps that hold them in. Oh and being 6'5" helped too as I pulled on the flange while pushing on the muffler with me feet to break everything loose. The wife said I looked like a monkey under there trying to climb the pipe

Can't help you there buddy I don't have that delete yet and I'm running a mini maxx so mine turns it off. Idk if the smarty does, I would imagine it does but someone who knows about it will have to chime in here.

Hope I was able to help as last month I was in your shoes and guys like James, H&S, and others on this forum helped me a lot too

You can leave it or remove it. I would remove it so that it looks better
And if you are talking about the cooler I would remove that also in case it cracks you wont get coolant into your exhaust or motor if yours still has crossover tube

I removed everything and have all the block of plates done. The intructions show taking the egr motor apart and messing with the actuator. If I don't have to do that part and just tie up the sensor that's even better

well I have an H&S and I just unplugged mine, chucked it and tucked the pigtail back on the valve cover away from the manifold
IDK how the smarty is about the sensors

ok, so far so good. I ran the crap out of the truck and no CEL's. I put the Smarty JR on performance and everything on defualt. Wow, the truck came to life. I turned it down to 60 because if you punch it the clutch starts to slip. There is already a big difference in fuel mileage on the lieometer. There is such a big difference between this truck and my trusty 2000 7.3 that will move with my DP Tuner. Thanks for the help I hope I didn't jinx myself.

On the 07.5-09's with the Smarty it is recommended to keep the actuator plugged in while removing the plunger, I have seen codes pop up because of this.

Just to note, the '10-11.5 Smarty Jr does not require the egr to be unplugged, of course you can if you want.

Thanks
