I have......
It includes a few new options for our customers to play with:
ECU update Includes:
1. Raised fuel pressure limit. Some customers with modified CP3 pumps were overshooting the commanded 26,500 psi pressure. This can cause a fuel cut, and engine surge. Upper pressure limit is now at 30,000 psi. Commanded stays at 26,500.
2. User adjustable throttle response menu. Adjusts commanded fuel amounts relative to throttle position. You have 3 options:
1. Stock response
2. Default response, what the current tuning is set to
3. High response, setting that the older tuning was at
3. Low rail pressure diagnostics thresholds raised. P0087 (low fuel rail pressure) causes the overhead / instrument cluster to display messages like "catalyst full" and "dpf full". The ECU is constantly monitoring rail pressure and comparing it to a desired value. This happens the entire range of fuel pressure, not just full throttle. If the actual pressure falls outside of a set thresholds for XX amount of time, it will trigger the P0087 code. We have adjusted the trigger thresholds on this diagnostics so it is less sensitive. This should help with a few getting the P0087 code when really their truck is running fine. Some causes of low rail pressure: bad injector, old fuel filter, bad CP3 pump, bad fuel, incorrectly installed aftermarket lift pump, too big of a tune, etc.
4. Exhaust brake memory. The factory exhaust brake now has a built in memory function. If the truck is shut down with the brake switch in the "on" position, it will default to the "on" position the next time the truck is started. Same goes for if it is left "off". This is not an option, just a new addition built into the base file. C&C trucks already did this from the factory, but now we make the pickups do it also.
5. Maximum injection timing adjustment. User adjustable maximum timing limitation. 5 levels to choose from:
1. 24 degrees
2. 26 degrees
3. 28 degrees Default
4. 30 degrees
5. 32 degrees
TCM tuning options included in this update also for those that have purchased Overdrive tuning:
1. 4-5th gear shift point adjustable up or down (adjusts the upshift and downshift accordingly). Light to medium throttle, WOT is NOT adjustable. 5 levels:
1. Lowest
2. Stock shift point
3. Medium
4. Default if option is skipped (this is where the base Overdrive tune had its shift point set)
5. Highest
2. 5-6th gear shift point adjustable up or down (adjusts the upshift and downshift accordingly). Light to medium throttle, WOT is NOT adjustable. 5 levels:
1. Lowest
2. Stock shift point
3. Medium
4. Default if option is skipped (this is where the base Overdrive tune had its shift point set)
5. Highest
3. Line pressure. WARNING, only designed for built transmissions. The factory transmission pump is NOT designed to be run more than 165-170 psi of pressure. Our current overdrive tune sets these values to 170psi (the pump mechanically will not supply more pressure, and will build excess heat and waste energy). If you have a modified pump, you can use this adjustment to increase clutch holding pressure. We have tested up to 250 psi with great results on built transmissions. 5 levels:
1. Stock 160psi
2. Default 170psi
3. 200psi
4. 225psi
5. 250psi
4. Shift Firmness. This adjustment will modify the acceleration rate between gear shifts. Making them softer or firmer. 5 levels:
1. Stock
2. Light firm
3. Default - what Overdrive tuning was set to previously
4. Firm
5. Most firm
All ECM and TCM options are just that, an OPTION. The customer has the choice of skipping any or all of the above menus. If the option is skipped, it will set the option to the default value.
Hope that helps!
