Another smarty question

Can someone please explain why the "jet engine sound" is intermittent? I know it has to deal with the exhaust brake. I like the sound,but most of the time I can't get it to do it. Right after I did my deletes, it would do it sometimes. What's the deal with it?

it's your exhaust brake. it will engage at idle when water temp is below 160 IIRC

I know it's the E.B. just didn't know why the whistling noise was intermittent. So,it's temp. That determines when it whistles?

Yes when its cold and gets a certain temp it will do that.
