Turbo problems???

Driving my truck earlyer today and the turbo just didn't sound right .While holding steady throttle the sound of the turbo was real erratic up and down it was a lot like the way an electric motor will sound when it has a short or a bad ground wire. Then tonight I was driving to the store and same thing but when I went to leave to go back home i pulled out and it was reallllly slow to spool up and when it did it sounded more like it was growling then spooling ..What the heck??? is this thing about to take a dump on me? The truck has 65K miles on it and has only been deleted for about 4000 miles now.

I've never had a problem out of my stocker but I run the EB all the time, read somewhere on here that it keeps it clean and they last longer. Could be true cuz my brother never uses his and his had to be replaced at 75k. Anyways I wouldn't drive until you pull the intake and take a look.

Any codes? Have you tried the key trick to pull the codes? On off on off on... Look in the odometer area for the code

Pull your intake tube off and get a flashlight and do a visual inspection of the turbo, blades and inside housing. It's easy enough to check quickly.

Well I pulled the intake off and the impeller looks like someone has taken a grinder to it ...NOT GOOD ! Now Im extremely worried that there are chunks of metal inside of the motor ! I don't know what the heck to do now??????

The chunks are more than likely in your intercooler rather than the motor so thats not a good thing but better than being in the motor. You can find stock chargers all day long on ebay used for a decent price but if your looking to buy a new one i would upgrade and spend the money on a 3rd gen manifold and at least a 366 from forced inductions.
