Anyone got any pictures and directions on shimming the fuel pressure release? My first diesel just orderd MP-8 and herd shimming the release is the next step.

Thank you, this has been a very rocky road for my first diesel, I have been a chevy guy all my life but didn't want an Durazu, and I had nothing but problems with this dodge the first 5000 miles 5 trips to the dealer. I think they finally figured it out it was all the emissions stuff. Ya I know I broke the rule of all rules not to by a new motor but I figured cummins had there Sh*t together, I thought wrong. hehe The truck is starting to really grow on me I am a cummins fan hands down not to sure about the dodge thing, but we will see.

Again thank you

there are just some of us that just aren't as lucky as others when it comes to our trucks.....mine has been great since I bought it, i always got pretty decent fuel mileage and have only been in for oil changes.

The plug I know for sure you can just buy from ppe and I dont know if ts makes them. For those of you that have put in the shim kits they know how easy it would to build your own kit. First you take out the vavle and go to the hardware store and find a nut that will screw on to it, and then get washers equal to about .60" and there you go you spent maybe a dollar then just take apart and put the washers (shims) in.

You can make your own take apart like you are going to shim but take the spring out and find the right amount of shims(washers) to put the pin perminent shut save you like $43.25.
