Turbo and Manifold

I know theres alot of threads on here about the manifold for the 6.7 and turbo's but i'm new to diesels and am trying to learn all I can. But I guess my question is; what does all the talk about exhaust manifolds mean? and what am I better off to do as for putting a new turbo on my truck. Im pushing around 650 to 700 rwhp. Thanks

Im in the same boat, but I've learned more about it, Nobody really does twins on these 6.7's, Everyone is doing a 2nd gen swap or 3rd gen manifolds, and Big singles..... If you are wanting the most potential for your Truck from my knowledge is 2nd/3rd Gen Manifold, but 2nd gen swap requires different Intake and DownPipe, 3rd gen Mani bolts right up, Just requires different Downpipe, With a Big single such as s366, and of course of some fueling upgrade Nozzles, Upgraded CP3, and of course a AirDog to support it, Im working on my swap to soon.... Hope that helps man

What do you mean by new turbo? If your at 650-700 you already have a turbo, as the stock turbo won't allow that much power.

What kind of hp calc?

If you don't have a tuner I doubt you are over 425 rwhp. With the 5" TBE are you running sims for the delete, or are you not deleted?

You either need air, or to keep the Smarty on a lower setting.

What are your goals?

Trans? Clutch, trans build?
