will any turbo fit a 6.7?

I had a buddy of mine that I got in a argument about if any turbo would work on a 6.7. His claim was a turbo is just that you can swap out any turbo for another doesn't matter if it's the new 6.7 or not. My statement was on the new 6.7 you can't slap any old torbo on there cuase it would not function right. Due to it's a new turbo ( VGT ) am I right in this or did I make a total a$$ out of myself?

Nope I havent PDI has done it to theirs and reb brown took one and put a 03 injectors, computer, dual cp3s, and a big single and hit a little over 1000 hp and bent a rod because they are longer thus weaker. I am think I am going to go for max power on stock emmissions then when I cant get any more then strip them again, lol I all ready played around with them.

I read that the 6.7 uses the same conecting rods as the 5.9. The rods would be the same strength. The longer stroke is adding more stress on them to bend them from what I understand.

So does Mr. Brown have stronger rods on order? It will be interesting to find all of the weak links as HP increases. I wonder about the logistics of swaping over electronics and injectors from the 5.9 for a daily driver? Were there any issues of drivability and such at say the 500hp mark? Maybe these questions are yet to be answered?

That could be true thats just the info I recieved and I think it might have ruined the motor, but I have not heard any more about it and this was a while ago. But with the head being the same 5.9 exhaust manifold should work and thats what they probably did.

So this guy put in 03 injectors? Can you put in 5.9 nozzles on the 6.7 if it has no DPF or EGR? My guess is NO but I thought I'd ask. Would DDP or someone else make some bigger nozzles knowing that there is no DPF or EGR to worry about?
