First time Dodge owner here. I formerly owned a 08' F250 with the Spartan Tuner. Fortunately i never had a prob with any of my powerstrokes. I purchased the MM and a delete pipe that has been sitting in my garage for 2 weeks now.
I am bummed because I discovered that my windshield wiper resevoir is leaking. The part is on backorder to fix it as well. So I have to wait to get this warranty work done before i do the delete.
So far i love everything about the Dodge. The cooled seats are amazing haha. I have never used heated seats but Cooled seats is an everyday use.
Has anyone else had problems with the windshield wiper reservoir???
depending on the year of your truck (you don't have your signature filled out so we have no clue) yes it has been a huge issue with them leaking, hence the national backorder.
If you don't want to wait for it to come in, I suggest you remove the reservoir and figure out where it is leaking. Once the leaky seam is found you just butter it up with some exterior grade silicone, and you'll be good to go for the life of the truck.

Anyways, check the washer pump on the reservoir. Mine just out of the blue started pouring and turns out it was the gasket that seals the pump to the tank
the dealership can't void warranty on something like that..
When you drive into a dealership in a deleted truck they can void your entire warranty. Once you mod these engines in the slightest way and they catch on your warranty is over with.
My buddy has a 2011 dually. Took it into dealer for an oil change. All he had was a muffler delete and intake. Still had all dpf and egr components in place and working. The manager saw the muffler delete and flagged him on the spot. Entire warranty was null and void and he wasn't even there to have warranty work done. Took his truck off the lift and said get out of our shop.

That dealer is so full of it. First they Can NOT void a full warranty!!! Even with the deletes on the vehicle, it has nothing to do with anything body related only drivetrain. The dealer can not put the restrictions on the truck they MUST contact thier Zone rep and ask them to do it. Without cause and proof they WILL not even restrict the powertrain. If he were to put back on everything he has taken off and goes into the dealership for warranty on the powertrain, unless pictures were taken of his truck the dealer would have a hard time telling him NO on warranty. If they did not have picture proof of the deletes I would be crawling all over Dodge if they did restrict his powertrain. How does Dodge know the Manager just didn't have it in for that customer. They would have no proof that the truck was ever messed with.
That's just My Opinion as a dealer employee and Cummins owner.

If he indeed did that your buddy needs to sue the dealer. With what he has done to the truck that would be no different than voiding the warranty for changing the speakers. Unless he doesn't have a carb approved CAI from a company that will go to bat for him. Can't remember the name of the law but its illegal to void a warranty unless a modification can be proven to cause whatever issue it was in for repair for. Then they can just void and refuse it on that item.

I think u are talking about the magnusson moss law. And let's be VERY CLEAR HERE. It only pertains to manufacturers of OEM SPEC PARTS ONLY. This law came about because people were buying oem spec parts.from a parts store and putting it on their vehicle and then the dealer was voiding warranties. As an example, say your starter goes out and u find one 80$ cheaper at the parts store than at the dealer; if you put the cheaper one on, and it is OEM SPEC, the dealer may not void your warranty. Magnusson moss protects you from having to buy parts from the dealerand thats all.
SO AGAIN LETS BE CLEAR. If you put NON OEM SPEC PARTS on your vehicle the dealer can void your warranty. So basically any PERFORMANCE parts...warranty done.

Warrantors cannot require that only branded parts be used with the product in order to retain the warranty.
The federal minimum standards for full warranties are waived if the warrantor can show that the problem associated with a warranted consumer product was caused by damage while in the possession of the consumer, or by unreasonable use, including a failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance.
Nothing there about having to use OEM spec parts. But there is something there saying they have to show that whatever it was you did caused the damage. The oem spec generally tells the minimum recommended requirement a part should meet. For them to void the warranty they have to prove the part you installed did not meet these requirements and caused the damage.
Air dogs meet those specs with ease as do fass systems so they in no way should affect your warranty. A lot of the CAI's on the market also meet those specs. So they should in no way affect the warranty. A few of the manufacturers of CAI's have 800 numbers for you to call if a dealer tries to void your warranty for using their product. They offer this service because they know their product meets all the air quality specs the manufacturer requires and they can't void a warranty for using it. If you bought one that doesn't meet the oem requirements you could be in trouble.
Cat back exhaust mods. Most of the dealerships sell and install them. It would have to be installed in such a poor fashion it caused something else to fall off of the truck by swinging around hitting it before they would have a leg to stand on voiding the warranty for that.
What the act does is make the warranty issuer have to prove you caused the problem and it wasn't a defect on their part before they can refuse/void warranty services.
