I don't know if you have considered one of these or not but I can get you one at a better price than whats listed in the link I'm including. We don't have them loaded on our site just yet. And the package includes the converter as well as a 5 year warranty.
Beats me they have really changed the kits they offer in the last few moths for the 68. The only transmission I saw on their sight that they are building and offering a warranty on is the competition version. That hasn't changed. I would be a little shy of any kit that is not the equivalent of the competition transmission.
I'm sure it will be an upgrade over stock but there has to be a reason they aren't selling them assembled.
Just my two cents. Hopefully someone with more knowledge of the kits can chime in and tell you what kind of power the different kits will hold.

those kits there dont include a Co-Pilot. talked to patrick, he said anything over 425-450 burn the clutches up...

they told me the same thing...but when i talked to patrick at ATS he stated that there was no set limit on hp level with their basic tranny, so i guess if something keeps breaking then they'll have to keep honoring it...

Mattpoop is running one and hes over 700hp but he has a billet input shaft.
The stage one with co-pilot they say at 600hp your at the limit of the stock input shaft.
Any kit that has upgraded torque and clutchs is better than stock but the 68 needs tuning to work right. So suncost offers a TCM with theres and ATS the co-pilot.
Id do a rebuild throw in a billet shaft and choose the tuning you prefer. Anything beats the stocker...

The stage one will take 500hp of abuse, add the copilot to the mix and it will do 600-700 hp no sweat. A billet input upgrade is highly recommended at that power level too.
ATS is beta testing a new twin kit for the 6.7's on a few trucks that are running this set up and they are well north of 600hp with no issues to date and they are not taking it easy on the trucks either.
At a 5 year 500,000 mile warranty you cant go wrong with this set up. I can get you guys a good deal on the copilot too.
Thanks
