2008 6.7 air intake opinions needed

alright guys i am looking for some of yall's opinions.i am wanting to put a air intake on my truck which one is the best ?? afe s&b or k&n or should i just leave the stock air box in place??should i go with a dry filter or a oiled filter??and does s&b offer a dry filter kit ??

I would do a S&B intake, they are by far the best bang for the buck.

Why do you need a CAI? The stock box is good to like 500 hp. And your probably not making that much. You could go the cheap and incognito route. Go in and take the baffle out of your intake tubing and that right there should make a pretty decent difference in it and then if you want you can make a "scoop" for your stock box. Just saying...that's $300 you could spend on something else.

I got the AFE Stage II CAI with the Pro Dry S filter. Made a noticeable difference(little bit better fuel economy/power) and a little bit of turbo whistle which I like. Heard things about oiled filters and how it could go through your turbo. Don't know if it is actually true or if it does anything bad. Other guys on here should be able to answer that. All in all i am impressed with mine on my 09'

Another vote for the DIY air box mods. No real need to spend extra money till you upgrade the turbo IMO.

just got an afe mega cannon on mine as well with the pro guard 7, its got my vote hands down. better throttle response, little bit better mpgs, truck sounds a heck of a lot better, and now the stock turbo screams... im happy!

I used a home made PSM style airbox mod with parts from Summit, a PSM Cool Hose, and an AFE PG7 drop in filter.
