S478 T4 - New / Used Motor Build....

As some of you have may have seen I recently had a massive CP3 failure that took my motor out of timing and messed a whole bunch of stuff in my truck up.

I found a used 20K mike motor at a local wrecker and started to get it back to shape.

Surfaced head, installed studs and new HG, Uprated valve springs, Colt cam, Dual pumps, Flux 4's , New DDSB clutch and my S478 that was sitting on the shelf.

All I can say is WOW... I hope to get video with my GoPro camera on how quick this thing spools. I know Ryan had some .. But until you drive it (G56 manual) you cant under stand when it lights and lights quick you have to shift! Then shift again .. LOL . I am on SW5 now with o other adders and its an animal... A bit of smoke down low but once it starts to light it is all cleared up.

I am kinda upset there is rain here today BC all it wants to do is blow the tires off it when you get it to it hard.

I am looking forward to a dry w/e to test and tune it on the back roads and work things in a little.

If there was anyone sitting on the fence regarding a larger S400.. The 6.7L can make it spool like a motha.. DO IT! And if you want come and see me and go for a ride!

x2

thanks in advance.

I wonder what a diff there is between the 478 and the 475?? Wonder why Aaron convinced Ryan to go with the 475 instead of the 478...

Also, how do you like that fuel rail?? I was talking to todd a couple nights ago about it. Seems pretty handy, especially for twin pumps.....
Do you have a pump from Todd as well?? Or maybe two..

Ryan wimped out .... LOL. (wonder how long till he chimes in!)

Just modded rail and another with distribution block and separate feed line on the way. Gonna get rid of the 2 to 1 line on the dual pumps.

No not T&C pumps (I wish they were) another vendor with stock pumps. Holds modded flux 4's real well.

A few more days SOP tuning and I should be good to go!

6th gear 1500rpm pulls are lots of fun! Lay in to and Smokes from the tail pipe then the smoke comes from the tires! Hehe!

I would compare it to a 66 on a 5.9 for lag.

Starting to get some of the tuning together..

Just need that EFI live for more revs!

55+lbs of boost

3300+ RPM (5th Gear)

Rail pressure 27,600

In need of updated Dipricl Drive pressure guage.. Too slow to react
