Wanting to avoid high egts. Suggestions

Since my sig I've added 60hp tips and dual fuel filtration . Haven't upgraded lift pump yet but I'm thinking about adding industrials compound turbo kit along with a raptor 150 gph pump. Towing my gooseneck I've seen pretty high egts and water temps over 210. Gooseneck only weighs 10000. looking for suggestions. Thanks guys.

Agree with the stock turbo. That thing is crap. Hell, try and sell it, I sold mine for $450. A little extra cash towards go fast parts never hurts

If it's only getting high when towing or up hills, and you don't have the cash for new turbo's, look at a water/meth kit, they are around $500, run 80% water, it will cool you down about 150-200deg

Pretty much have to shift down to 5th and let out of the throttle on slight inclines. Temps over 1200 easily if I hold it there. If I drop the stock turbo for twins, who's kit is best. Dd & towing.

Remember these trucks run way hotter than the 5.9's, they are built to regen at over 1400deg, so 1200 isn't as scary as it used to be. There are lots of nice kits out there, i use my truck every day for work, towing the camper and the odd race down the track and i love my twins, i have a 64 over a 74.

his truck might have the big factory intercooler, if so you think a aftermarket one would drop him by 200 aswell?

1200 is NOT hot at all. A stock 6.7 can and does see 1500 degrees while in a regen.
I wouldnt even consider backing off a hill while loaded if my EGTs were 1500 Degrees for a long time...IMHO

yep, a guy that got banned on here has an '08 with the big OEM IC and he put a BD IC on his and he stated it dropped his EGTs by more than 200*. he had the IC on before the shibby intake horn and flex-o-lite fans

Here's his list of mods and mpg:
