Probably just a DPF-R most tried it and didn't like it i think i would buy a real tuner like H&S for your 2010.

Check into the Smarty, I think you'll like it.

H&S makes a good product, as well.

I would steer-clear of the "DPF-R" type products or anything that looks jerry-rigged or homemade. Just my $0.02.

There is no replacement for what a real tuner or programmer can do. You can fool all day long, but without proper tuning, your truck will just be the same ole' truck with no DPF, or EGR. Know what I mean?

Give James @ Rollin Smoke Diesel a holler and he can help you out with whatever you need.

There's a link to his site in my signature.

Gear Box Z

This is the link, so the programer is better than the harness? Are they not both telling the ECM the same lie? Please educate me, I'm as new to this as my truck! All I won't is MPG and the little bit of HP gain from pulling it off. Plus the only thing I have seen out to date is the high dollar display units I don't need or won't . Thanks for the help!!

That harness is a grand?! Wow.

The harness, in my understanding, will just fool the sensors on the truck. The truck will still know something is wrong, but the harness will clear the codes on the truck. Its a band aid fix at best. The programmers shut the functions off in the trucks computer completely. As far as the truck is concerned, there is nothing out of the ordinary.

For the money, you could buy a programmer, like an XRT or smarty(if they are available for the 2010), buy the exhaust parts and just leave the programmer on a stock power or small increased power setting where you wouldnt need gauges but would be able to have the emissions disabled the correct way. Just a thought. For the money, there is a better way to do it, and down the road you might get the itch to add some more power. If you did it the way I recommended, you would be a step ahead.

K5Cruz is exactly right. The harness is just a kind of a band aid instead of fixing the problem internally in the ECM with a programmer.

If you truly want code free without a display screen, then you will have to run a Smarty or XRT and order a 4" or 5" TBE with muffler. Might I also recommend helping your truck breathe better...An AFE Mega Cannon cold air intake will help a little bit.

Thanks allot for the info ! I guess I will have to wait for the / a programmer, Who knows when that will be for just a plug in and go type and not the display, I understand they wont to make $ off the big stuff first and let the others follow behind, Hope some one comes out with a full kit DPF / EGR delete plus a code free programmer with small HP. SOON !! Thanks again !!!!!!!

Call James @ Rollin Smoke Diesel he can hook you up with what you will need. Smarty might be getting close to being finished with the 2010 6.7 Cummins.

I'd wait on the Smarty, personally. Just my opinion. I love my Smarty.

And yes, in my opinion...The Smarty is better.

Send a PM to Bob Wagner (here on the site), he will have some insight as to when the Smarty will be ready for your truck.
