Is there anyone who actually currently uses or has actually used a Hypertech Max Energy on their 6.7? Actual experience/knowledge with this tuner and a 6.7 would be great. Please comment on the pros/cons. Does it actually work with the DPF and without major problems?
Not looking for miracles here and do not plan on deletes today or later. Just want a little more power, speed, mpg and no problems.
A few guys say no tuner with DPF period.
Hypertech says it is designed for Exactly that reason.
Thank you very much for any real world input you can provide!
The Max Energy was the first one I started out with. For what it was I loved it. Set it on stage three and forget about it. Never noticed a real MPG increase but noticable power. You will like it. The smarty works well with the DPF too. Take a look at the smarty jr.
I was really impressed with it, smooth power, and very good driving no smoke what so ever even with the dpf off, then i let a buddy run it on his 100% stock truck and he loved it also, no gain in mpg with him either though. The only problem i was having with mine and later figured out what it was, rail pressure would climb to 28k or so and then drop down to 20k, but when i swapped all my stuff over to my 09, i never put the rail shims in so running a modded pump, and mp8 with it i was setting it off.

I had one to hold me over, before the smarty came out. It worked very well on my truck and I was very pleased with it. If the "insert your brand here" programmer had not come out and done away with the DPF and EGR deletes via computer programing... well I'd still be running it.

One of my buddies(m8kinulook) ran a hypertech for quite a while doing hotshotting and loved it. Only reason he removed it was because they didnt support dpf deletes. Actually PM him and he will probably sell you his
