help mp-8 stack to friends truck

my buddy just installed a mp-8 to stack with his edge race now the truck feels like a dog and hes throwing P00087 low fuel pressure code my only suggestion was a rail plug... what do u guys think?

You are draining the fuel rail!!! A plug could help, but what he is really gonna need is a better fuel supply. Airdog, etc. The edge plus an mp-8 is pushing quite a bit of fuel, more than the stock fuel setup can supply.

most importantly did you shim or block the fuel rail pressure release? mp8 will trip that thing all day long

All you need to do is shim or plug the fuel rail. I ran the edge race and the mp-8 before i got my smarty for a while and it ran great. That will fix the problem

What they said, your gonna have to shim or cap the rail valve.

i wasnt with him when he installed but he said he shimmed it correctly so he ordered a rail plug today gues we will see if that fixes the problem

I wouldn't put the plug in my rail unless you change injectors nozzles, the pressure is a little much for the stock nozzles. The shim should be more than enough to keep rail fueled, if not you need better fuel delievery!
