Best DPF delete exhaust and programmer

My one buddys got a 08 6.7L quad cab short box and wants to do a DPF delete on it. Which is the best turbo back exhaust kit (5") and programmer to use. I was thinking smarty but have no idea on the exhaust. Any info would be appreciated.

Smarty and XRT are pretty much the same price now. You can't go wrong with either one. As far as exhaust goes, anything from an 04.5 and up 5.9 will fit, so it is personal preference. You can get a full system for about 250 to 300 bucks. Any of our site sponsors will be happy to help. They have some pretty good prices too.

I would also look in to blocking the EGR if you follow the Smarty instructions. I purchased the EGR block off plates on line. I believe you can also buy the kit from one of the site sponsors now.
You will also need to down load the ME version from Smarty web site for the deleted DPF and EGR systems.

The best delete for the NOX and DPF is a piece of pipe and a hammer. Best programmer is the Black Maxx, next best is the XRT.
