XRT/ 5" TBE question

I'm getting a 6.7 somewhat soon..my question is this kit.. Where do i start.. do i turn the egr/dpf off then take the exhaust off? Or put the exhaust on and then turn it all off?

And is it just regular pipe or does it have plugs in it aswell?

Thanks in advance!

Honestly if the budget supports it do it all in one shot. As for the 5" kits they can come either with or without bungs. The XRT and Smarty are both code free kits that no longer require the sensors or foolers anymore. The most popular kit up here is the flo pro 639NB for 5" turbo back with no bungs no muffler or the 636NB same kit but with a muffler. If for some reason you want to install your sensors back into the pipe just order the kits above without the NB and they will have the bungs installed in the pipes. But with the xrt they are only there for decoration, but that will make it so you don't have to cap the sensors and have them zip tied to the frame rail.

He has some good prices on package deals. Atleast give him a hollar and see what he can do for you. Thats all I did and ended up buying from him. Shipping is very quick to.

Install everything, then start the truck and it will clear codes. Don't drive around on the new exhaust unless the programmer is in, or you'll get codes.

I did DPF delete the other day. Not quite the same, but similar. The truck was parked all morning. I took all the crap off, plugged in the sims, installed the delete pipe, and didn't drive it until I left to go home.

If you are going to delete the dpf, and put on an xrt, you might want to budget in another 100 bucks or so and just get rid of the egr all together while you are in there. You will notice a definite difference in the way your truck runs and the amount of fuel you will save.

Yeah man I did a egr cooler delete, wcc air horn, 5in tbe to stacks, and the black maxx in a weekend, man the truck is so wicked now. my OverHead liar says i'm getting 20+ mpg's and before it only read 16mpg. plus the sound of this truely represents how bada$$ the 6.7 really is. do the deletes and you wont regret it.
