Okay folk I just got my boost fooler last night. Ordered it from James over at Rollin Smoke Diesel. Got some KILLER deals on all the parts.
Installed today and went out on a back road to do a little testing. Now I have an Edge Insight for gauges right now so as we all know it isn't going to read true boost.
My next purchase is going to be 2 gauges & an Air Dog. Got that James? Start making me a killer deal. My first two mechaincal gauges will be Boost and Rail Pressure.
So with the Insight you can do a 0-60 MPH test. I did this 3 times. 3 times with out the boost fooler and 3 times with the boost fooler. So here are your numbers.
With out boost fooler
1) 8.29
2) 8.74
3) 8.56
1) 8.20
2) 8.44
3) 7.92
So it doesn't make it a screaming machine but I did get some improvment. And my clutch was hot after 6 lanches.
I hope this helps those that were looking for this info.
Now on the way home I wond her up to 100 MPH & I was 1245* on my EGT and boost was around 20.

Good post Wildman.
Actually, seeing 1/2 second improve to 60mph is pretty substantial!
So in the quarter mile???
Thanks again for the post!
I ordered mine from RSD and waiting for the ship date.
and those numbers should only get better with more fuel, i jumped from 31 to 36psi peak after the injectors went in. and sustained went from 21 to 28. i am hoping that the fooler will help out with peak and sustained even more.

I'm sure it makes the truck run better.... but the Edge 0-60 times are about as accurate as sitting in the truck with a stop watch.
I sorry but what does this have to do with anything. Isn't that the point? To know how fast you did this? I know this isn't like rocket science but it is some general numbers.
And just incase anyone is interested,
Without With
8.53 8.18
Is the average of both.

What I'm saying is the Edge #'s ARE NOT accurate..... your w/o numbers have a +/- 0.23 sec variation
your w/ numbers have a +/- 0.26 sec variation
8.53 - 0.23 = 8.30 w/o
8.18 + 0.26 = 8.44 w/
Making the truck slower with the fooler. You know the truck is faster. It feels faster. What I'm saying is the Edge has to much variation to be an accurate 0-60 time.
When I did the Edge 1/4 mile test it said my 1/4 time was 12.2.... I know for a fact my 1/4 time is NOT 12.2.
