EGT/Trans Temp

I have installed the Edge Insight for my guages. How hot can I get my EGT's without causing problems. What about tranny temp(automatic).
I have XRT and no DPF.

EGT's --- 1500-1600 for not more than 30-60 sec. Which exhaust do you have? Did you replace your down pipe too? I have the 5" exhaust & XRT and my EGT's go down FAST so I would chance a 1700* EGT now and then.

Trans --- 225-240 should be max. I know some will tell you more but your tranny fluid breaks down faster the hotter it is. I use to see 150-175 towing in my 02.

Wildman: I have just the dpf delete, no downpipe. I will have the downpipe eventually but not probably until warranty is up. Do you tow much with your truck? I tow very little, but will occansionally. Can you run the XRT on 120 to tow? I have the XRT on 120 now because I have heard the mileage is better than on 60hp tune.

Starting next month I will be towing every other weekend. Not huge loads like some of the guys on here but it is about 14,000lbs. I am going to try towing with the 120 tune first. If it doesn't work then I will go to the 60.

Since you don't have a down pipe yet I would take 100* off the temps I listed for you. It will take longer for your turbo to cool with the stock down pipe in place.
