Door Handles

Anybody pull off the door handles on a 2007.5? just want to know how hard it is to do. Want to take them off and get painted.

Not that hard, a couple nuts behind the door panel. What I'd do is buy a new set and get them painted then do it all in one day with minimal down time.

Not sure but your best bet would be to order from the States. SteveWhiteParts, MoparOnlineParts, there's several OEM places out there that don't gouge like your dealership will. Sell the used set for 1/2 price of new and you'll be out very little I'm sure.

REAL easy! One big screw behind the inside door handle, door handle screw and two or three screws on the bottom side of the panel, then just pull the panel up towards the window opening and it pops right out. Two minute job seriously!

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee door handles are a direct replacement and can be bought with factory applied paint...the Jeep and Dodge paint codes match, so as long as the Jeep was offered in the same color as your truck- you're good. My truck is black so it was an easy match. I paid about $120 per handle from moparpartsonline.com

Choose 2004 Grand Cherokee >> Front Door >> Lock and Hardware >> Handle, Outside...

I see Blk Pearl, Midnight Blue, Inferno Red ...

There's a nice set of billet aluminium ones you can buy. They're pure old school like the ones my dad had on his Dodge Dart.

But beware there's tons of cheesy "door handle caps" that are being sold, that will make your ride look like a 5$ dollar hooker.

I got a link for them if you want. They even have billet handles with different designs, thunder bolts, dimples, iron crosses.
