Yeah, It works great. My buddy is using it on his '69 Chevy Pickup, and I used some on my Landcruiser.

They actually make an under coating kit.

Ziebart is one way to go; I always do this then go back over everything with Gloss Black paint. Cleans up nice once you get it painted and sound proofs your truck.

In the sense of doing underneath my truck, what are some of the areas to avoid, for instance I heard if I was to spray my drive shaft it would throw it out of balance

Being from the east coast, rust is not a big issue.
Unless you are driving on the beach.
One of my friends owns a body shop and told me years ago the biggest rust problems he sees is undercoated vehicles.
He claims after time it pulls away from surfaces and it will hold water causing the rust it is supposed to be stopping.
His recomendation was just get cans of spray paint and go nuts underneath.
That being said, i have always painted, and never had a rust issue, even with all the billions of tons of salt they dump on the roads in the winter.

Lived in Ontario years ago. They heavily salted the roads there. I tried Ziebart, Vital and another that escapes me now. They all cracked over time and rust formed underneath. Found the best was to paint the frame with POR15 and then squirt used engine oil inside the body panels every couple of years. Let the excess run out, wash the vehicle - NO RUST!
