06 and newer ac compressor failure. How many????

I just want to know how many of you had to have your ac compressors replaced due to the bolt breaking off in the center of the clutch. I know this is an issue that is going ignored. It's on the 06 and newer trucks. Whether it was warrantied or not, please post ...

When you get it I hope you change the bolt in the center of the clutch.. M8 x 1 inch. Get a 12.9 grade to replace the factory junk..

yeah my 06 has 117,000 miles and my Compressor clutch just went out. It makes a rattling sound all the time now and sometimes you can smell the clutches burning. Is that something Dodge made a recall on?

That sounds like the clutch just burned out. What a lot of us have had happen is the clutch just falls off when the center bolt breaks off.. As far as I know there isn't any recall on either. There should be on the bolt issue.
