In need of some money saving Ideas!!!

Ok guys I love my truck would not want anything else at all but I am getting screwed with all the rising diesel prices. With only 40K miles on my truck I barely get 15 mpg on the freeway. Although I have done so much work to the truck in order to improve power and performance, my MPG still sucks!! As you can see in my sig I am runing a 5" TBE, with the black maxx and a aftermarket intake. What can I possibly do in order to get that MPG up. I am going to be getting married this year and if I dont find a way to get the most out of this truck I will have to end up selling it. Thanks for all the help.

Put some stock tires back under it and slow down. Those are the only two things you can do to really improve MPG. Regearing to 3.42s wouldn't hurt a thing either if you don't do much towing.

go back to stock size tires and keep your foot out of it. i noticed great mpg increase if i don't drive over 65 on the highway. everyone passes me, but i'm trying to stretch my fuel as far as i can.

like stated above, your tires are killing you. I had the same mods on my 08 and when I went to 35x12.50x17 toyo mts I lost 2-3 MPG. You've gotta pay the price to look cool...

Yup, Polarco and I still talk on a regular basis (he drives like an old fart because he is one ) but yes, I've seen that truck and it does what he says.

yep, I would say the OP doesn't need all of that but, some would definitely help. do you think the AD or FASS is worth the money for MPG? or is it just for high HP and/or to save the injectors with better filtration?

I've never seen even .01 mpg change when switching between fuel pumps for any reason. Polaraco changed it on his truck just for the better filtration to make the parts last longer.

Drive slower, plain and simple. Im driving the same roads that you are, OP, and see an average of 18mpg at the worst on 37" tires around Houston. How? When I get on the highway I set my cruise at 63mph and let the world fly around me. When I drive home to visit my folks, I set the cruise at 65mph and yeild 21mpg hand calculated. If i up the speed to 70mph then it drops to 19mpg. Speed kills fuel mileage.

Even more than cruising speed around town, though, is acceleration. If you really want to save fuel, keep this thought in your head while driving: every time you depress the accelerator or brake pedal, you spend money. Accelerate slowly and decelerate gradually. Once you realize that every time your foot pushes either one of those pedals you are throwing money out the window, your mileage will increase.

I get around 20 on highway...meter says close to 22mpg. I have 3.42's and 35's, 6" lift. Stock height and tires I hand calculation 24.09 before.
