Check Engine Light?

I installed an AFE #75-31342 Proguard & airbox on Wednesday evening, drove the truck for about 100-150 miles and this morning (Friday) while cruising up the highway the dreaded check engine light came on. Didn't check the code, but I'm sure it's air intake related.

The question is, what can I do to keep this from happening? Is a tune needed? How can I check codes (something with the key switch?) And lastly, how to clear the code? Thanks in advance.

if this is on your C&C i bet you have the code i had, i dont have a C&C but i put a S&B on and got something like air intake to high or something to that extent, Mine also had a boost fooler on it at the time. But with a tuner ive yet to see it again, and being deleted as well. Maybe the mods will move this to the right section and help you out.
ps to check for codes... key in go on off on off on and it will display codes where the miles are shown

Thanks, what section should this be posted in? Yes, it's on my 2010 chassis cab.

from the research I did when looking for a cai, the only company I came acrossed that didnt have c/c issues was s&b. I like afe alot, but went with the s&b because the afe specifically said it would cause a CEL on the c/c

I don't mind the light, but I'm questioning whether or not the system will richen up the mix like a gasoline car does when the 02 sensor reads a lean a/f ratio. I do plan on a dpf delete/exhaust mod and tune after the warranty is up. I guess I could tune it out. Thoughts?

So, how do you clear a CEL on these systems?

Well, the light went out after a few driving cycles and hasn't come back on in 2 days/250 miles. Maybe I'll get lucky.
