Hurst T-Handle Install
I got a Universal Hurst T-Handle from my brother for Christmas and this is a write-up on the install.

The install is very simple but this is more for people to see what one looks like in our trucks.

1. Open Box...lol.

2. Youll use the Gold Adapter for installing on a G56.

3. Apply some threadlock and screw in the adapter to the handle.

4. Screw the lock nut onto the shifter.

5. Screw the handle onto the shifter until it stops against the locknut

6. Back off untill handle is where you want it and tighten the lock nut.

VERY EASY to do.
Here are some pictures of it installed.

Removing Shifter Knob (G56)
Here is a little write up on removing the shifter knob on a G56 Tranny. Its really easy but i have a few suggestions to keep from tearing up your knob too much.

First thing i would suggest is do not try to pry out the middle piece by sliding screwdrivers in the sides. I tried this and it really messes up the knob. If you ever plan on reusing your knob or not, this is how i would suggest to do it, it made quick work on removing it.

1. First grab a drill, small drill bit and just about any screw. I used a decking screw that i had in the garage.

2. I drilled a small hole right in the middle to help get the screw started. Make sure your hole isnt too big the screw is going to strip the hole.

3. You can use either a screwdriver or a drill. I used a drill and screwed the screw in and it popped the middle piece right out.
(Yes i know, i just pretty much ruined the middle piece but i messed up the shifter knob even worse trying to pry the middle piece out. The middle piece shouldnt be more than $10-$15 to replace. The shifter knob on the other hand will probably cost a lot more if you want one thats not all tore up from trying to remove it.)

4. Once the middle piece is removed its straight forward. Use a 15MM deep socket to remove the nut.

5. Unscrew the shifterknob and its off.
