Have had a couple of members ask me about this in my sig , so thought I'd post some pics on how to do this simple mod.



Gutting the Stock Torque Tube
Have had a couple of members ask me about this in my sig , so thought I'd post some pics on how to do this simple mod.

Pic 1 shows the center section of the stock tube...simply remove the tube from the turbo and air intake , then remove the two rubber elbows.

Pic 2 shows the location of the seem where you will use a large slotted screwdriver of simmilar tool to gently pry all the way around the tube untill you hear a snapping noise....this is the plastic weld breaking..

Pic 3 shows the contents of the stock torque tube...this is what your after...just pull it streight out of the tube.....

Pic 4 shows the tube after its been "gutted".....

You will need to reseal the end of the tube where it was pryed apart...any good silicone glue will work.....

There is also a set of "fins" in the elbow in front of the turbo...I left mine in , but if you want it out , it will simply pull streight out......
